No good intelligence is going to come from abusive practices. I think history tells us that. I think the empirical evidence of the last five years, hard years, tells us that.
The name calling has reached a crescendo. Mr. Bush, in one of his childish outbursts, crowned himself "The Decider".
He decided to release a report that confirmed what his critics were saying. His regime decided to ignore warnings of attacks. His henchmen decided to proceed without plans. He decided to leak the identity of an agent for political reasons. He decided to start a war based on manipulated inteligence data. He decided to lie about weapons of mass destruction in his state of the nation speech. He decided who was doin' a heck of a job. He decided to veto a bill funding medical research.
These were all bad decisions. Mr. Bush and his cadre have made serious mistakes. They have bad judgment.
Mr. Bush is immature and self centered. If he doesn't like playing politics he was pretty stupid to go to Washington. Why doesn't he just take his toys and go home and pout? Why don't we decide what to do?
Elsewhere, responding to widespread criticism, President Bush said today that the United States' practice of torturing innocent Canadian photojournalists was "under review."

Neil Young, whose latest album includes the lyric “Let’s impeach the president for lying,” won out as artist of the year.

The president is plainly wrong on this issue – on legal grounds, on moral grounds, on common-sense grounds. The Republican senators should not yield to Bush's demands.

On the morning of August 6, Judge Joseph F. Crater spent two hours going through his files in his courthouse chambers. He then had his assistant, Joseph Mara, cash two checks for him that amounted to $5,150. At noon, he and Mara carried two locked briefcases to his apartment and he let Mara take the rest of the day off. Crater then waved goodbye to his friends and entered a cruising taxi he hailed down. His next location remains a mystery.
Ground was broken for the Pentagon on September 11, 1941, with construction completed in approximately sixteen months at a cost of $83 million.

Five years ago terrorists, suicidal criminals, hijacked four US airliners and crashed them into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people were killed by these acts. The US invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. Over 2666 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq, thousands have been wounded. The US Government does not count civilian or enemy combatant deaths but others place this number near 100,000 lives.
The finical loss from the attacks on 9-11 was $500 billion.
To the White house the lives lost are just numbers. Put a dollar sign in front and it has changed the lives of our leaders.
Never forget the tragic senseless loss of these lives.
Never forget the warning on August 6, 2001 that was ignored and dismissed.
Never forget the lies about WMD and uranium.
Never forget “Mission Accomplished” on the USS Abraham Lincoln off the coast of San Diego. Never forget that Osama bin Laden is (or isn't) the most wanted ("I truly am not that concerned about him").
Never forget the illegal spying. Never forget the torture.
But most of all, never forget this: America is the greatest country in the world, the American people are strong and caring. The US Constitution is the basis of the greatest democratic government ever created. While we will never forget the crimes of September 11, 2001 and the mistakes and lies that have dragged us into the quagmire we are in we will also remember: “This too shall pass.” When the pathetic bleating of greedy leaders has faded away and peace and honesty have returned we will look forward again to prosperity and harmony.

breaking: ABC/Disney annouced a key edit to it's planned fictional docu-drama "The Path to 9/11". The character 'Sandy Berger' (portrayed by William Shatner in an unbilled performance) will be renamed 'Karl Rice' and the character's voice will be over dubbed by Rue Paul.

The lies don't even sound like good lies anymore
You are not defending liberty, you are a Fascist grabbing oil for profit.
You cannot negotiate with terrorists; they are criminals not soldiers. Terrorists want war. When you respond to terrorist attacks by starting a war, any war, you have lost.
The Bush regime is the cause of the worlds problems. It is an illegal Fascist regime based on greed; this militaristic regime will destroy the world to 'save' it. To the hate-huggers, bankruptcy is a success if they are able to steal all the profits and hide them.
Terrorism is not the central question of our time. Millions die due to famine and poverty, hundreds of thousands die due to preventable disease, tens of thousands die due to traffic deaths. Our tax system is antiquated and inadequate, the nations infrastructure has been ignored and is crumbling. The culture of corruption created by Rove and company (Cunningham and Hunter) has eroded our moral values. Our energy policy was developed by industry moguls to benefit oil company profits while our environment is polluted and destroyed. Federal health care policy benefits drug companies (Rumsfeld made his millions from G.D. Searle & Company, a worldwide pharmaceutical company).
The Bush/Cheney/Rove/Rumsfeld Fascist crime family is to blame. Once you embrace and condone torture what other atrocity won't you commit? The central issue of today is protecting the American way of life from the abuses of the Fascist Bush Regime.
"Nothing can change the fact that Secretary Rumsfeld insulted the patriotism of the American people, and he needs to be held accountable for it."
