fools

bush is a fool

$700 billion! He sounds like a fool. He was a failure in business. To BUSH bankruptcy can be a successful business plan.

McCain is the same.

How do you search for oil when you believe that the Earth is only 4,000 years old?

Man who drove at protesters gets probation

Keith Davis, 55, pleaded guilty in July to one count of reckless driving in connection with a June 27 incident along state Route 67 near Dye Road in Ramona, where about a dozen anti-war protesters, many of them elderly, were standing and holding signs.

Shortly after the incident, Davis said in an interview that he was only expressing his First Amendment right of self-expression when he drove slowly onto the shoulder of the highway and displayed his middle finger to each person protesting. He said he thought the protesters were “un-American.”

Several protester said they had to jump out of the way as the pickup ran over their signs at about 20 mph.

Friday, Davis was contrite and apologetic in court.

“All my life I've tried to do good deeds,” he said. “I'm ashamed and embarrassed I've done this. I can't believe I'm here. I've always tried to be someone to be looked up to.”

Davis apologized to two protesters who attended the sentencing hearing.

One, Evelyn Perez, said she thought Davis should have been facing a felony assault with a deadly weapon charge. Deputy District Attorney Heather Trocha said more serious charges were not pursued because it would have been difficult to prove Davis intended to hurt anyone.

About a half-dozen other protesters wrote letters to the judge.

“I understand Mr. Davis' anger and frustration because I have those same feelings, which is why I protest,” wrote Catherine Sellers. “It is the proper and legal way to voice your views. Mr. Davis tried to illegally take that right away from me on Friday, June 27th.”

Shelton noted before sentencing that Davis has never been in trouble with the law and he does not believe he will be again. But he also said some protesters are now afraid to stand by the road.

“I hope this does not have a chilling effect on people to use their constitutional rights to protest,” he said. birdcage liner

Mr. Davis is one of the 29% who still believe that BUSH is a great leader. These people have no moral compass. They believe that torture works. You CAN fool some of the people all the time. How pathetic.

My belief is that if BUSH was impeached and punished people would learn what's right and wrong.

relentless

I revamped the ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT article to make it possible to link to the sections without the html address being too long.

So here's one that relates to the news: ARTICLE XXV, DIRECTING TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANIES TO CREATE AN ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL DATABASE OF THE PRIVATE TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND EMAILS OF AMERICAN CITIZENS. He still wants to give the telecoms immunity for illegally spying on us.

America must move from the errant, retributive justice of 9/11 to a healing, restorative process of truth and reconciliation.

Before the Congress adjourns, I will bring forth a new proposal for the establishment of a National Commission on Truth and Reconciliation, which will have the power to compel testimony and gather official documents to reveal to the American people not only the underlying deception which has divided us, but in that process of truth-seeking to set our nation on a path of reconciliation. Rep. Dennis Kucinich

It's all about money. A run for congress takes about a million: times 2 candidates per 435 seats = $870,000,000.00. Cindy Sheehan qualified to run as an independent for the seat held by Nancy Pelosi. Sheehan will be at a distinct financial disadvantage as she takes on one of the most powerful politicians in the country. She said her campaign has collected more than $300,000, compared with nearly $2.4 million collected by Pelosi through the end of June.

Obama and McCain were questioned by Pastor Rick Warren of Orange County's Saddleback Church. When asked to "define rich" Obama set the income level at $250,000.00 per year; McCain set it at $5 million.

Military personnel are contributing more to Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois than to his Republican opponent, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, according to a nonpartisan group tracking donations to candidates.

The Center for Responsible Politics says that in terms of total contributions during the 2008 election cycle, 859 service members have contributed a combined $335,536 to Obama as of June 30, an average of about $391 a person.

In comparison, 558 service members have contributed a combined $280,513 to Sen. John McCain, an average of $503 a person.

$391 or $503 is way more than I would ever contribute to any politician. It's a con game; there is no agreement about what you get for your money.

Pelosi was heckled and interrupted later Thursday at an event at the Cowell Theater, where she was being interviewed by KQED talk show host Michael Krasny. About 100 protesters advocating impeachment of President Bush interrupted the speaker, who remained calmer than many angry listeners who shouted down the hecklers. Several people were removed, but there were no arrests.

In 2006, in San Fransisco, there was Measure J, which called on elected officials to remove Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney from office. It got nearly 60 percent of the vote. So what are the voters getting from Pelosi for that $2.4 million?

Back to Saddleback: Obama and McCain made it clear that they only represent Christians. Asked what it meant to be a Christian, McCain said: "It means I'm saved and forgiven." In other words "We got a kinder, gentler, Machine gun hand. Got a man of the people, says keep hope alive. Got fuel to burn, got roads to drive."

The 2008 presidential race will be a $1 billion election. $20 million is a "modest" Senate race. Times 33 equals $666 million, plus the $870M for the House is a total of $2.5 billion. That's just the base estimate. Excuse me but What the frack is going on???
